The Curriculum
The benchmark of a quality school is its ability to develop each of its students. Hence all activities at The Millennium School are designed, implemented and evaluated based on this vital yardstick. We believe that our students can achieve excellence and realise their potential in an atmosphere of encouragement and acceptance.

Not only is the curriculum in keeping with the latest educational trends and techniques but also offers a wide variety of hands-on application avenues that make it both challenging and rewarding.

Kindergarten
Our main objective for the Kindergarten years is to help our young students develop their cognitive and motor skills. We actively encourage the development of students’ curiosity and imagination by exposing students to an exciting and wonderful world of learning, laying the foundation   for   life-long learning.

The curriculum is comprehensive, practical and emphasises the importance of experimenting and experiencing during the formative years. Our team of qualified and competent teachers initiate the young students to explore new areas of learning in a child-centric fashion.

Students participate in a variety of activities including games, music, story sessions, arts and craft in a specially designed activity room which is well resourced and equipped with educational toys, books and audio-visual facilities.

By the end of the Kindergarten years, all students develop a love of learning, basic mathematical and language skills and appropriate social skills, providing them with a valuable head start.

The Primary School
Grades 1 to 4

The Primary School years at The Millennium School are characterised by an emphasis on developing a solid academic foundation and exposing students to a vibrant world of learning beyond the school walls. These are the formative years when the students are initiated into their pursuit of seeking knowledge.

Focused on whole-child development, proper attention is given to the social development, technical skills and knowledge that children need to interact efficiently in a complex and changing world.

Apart from preparing our students to succeed in academics, we initiate the importance of maintaining a high moral fibre, honesty and integrity in every task that they take up.

A host of projects and field trips further augment classroom instructions, where great emphasis is laid on the development of positive attitudes and healthy habits. Students are encouraged to question, hypothesise, analyse and be creative.

The Middle School
Grades 5 to 8

The pace of academic demands is slowly accelerated and while holistic growth is always the focus, our students are gradually prepared to accept additional challenges. The students become aware of the need to set goals and have long-term objectives.

Ongoing evaluation and technology-oriented classroom sessions ensure that each child’s progress and development are continuous and meet predetermined standards.

A selection of extra-curricular activities broadens the opportunities for students to develop their natural abilities and to challenge themselves through growth of new interest areas.

By the end of the Middle School years, our aim is that all students should gain a well-rounded solid foundation and would have matured through character development and confidence.
