GEMS LEARNING GATEWAY (GLG) TRAINING

 

Our computer teachers along with GLG member teachers conducted three training sessions between 30th March and1st April 2009 for five batches of teachers.  Specialists from the Corporate Office had come to assist in this venture. The Millennium School is one of the first Pilot schools among GEMS to implement it in April 2009.

GLG is a framework that meets all e-learning objectives in one easy-to–use environment.  It provides teachers and students with the following :-

• Tools and services to support teaching and learning.
• Create and access rich and engaging Teaching-Learning resources online. Facilitates greater sharing and reuse of curriculum, content and learning materials.
• Distribute assignments, tests and activities personalized for the individual needs of students.
• Manage schedules and monitor student progress online.
• Communicate with peers, students and parents through mail and online discussion groups.
• It enables parents to participate in the learning process.

All GEMS schools will subsequently adopt GLG in the new academic year.

Attending this workshop enabled the faculty members to hone their skills in computers.
