STAFF ENRICHMENT PROGRAMME (APR-2009)
The new Academic year, 2009 - 2010 for the faculty members of The Millennium School commenced on the 2nd of April 2009. Our principal, Mr. Michael Guzder presented the Annual Report and welcomed the new staff members. This was followed by the ‘Staff Enrichment Programme’.
The objectives of the staff enrichment programme ‘Get Lively with Graphics’ was to foster teamwork and promote creativity in a fun-filled activity and demonstrate the use of computer education in the classroom. Staff members were divided into fourteen teams and each team had to make a storyboard created by photographs taken within two hours on the campus. Teams could add narrations or captions along with background sound effects and present their creation as a MS PowerPoint presentation.
The fourteen creations were screened and awards were presented for Best Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Film. While individual awards were ceramic statuettes reminiscent of the Oscars, team awards were ceramic mugs with inspirational teamwork quotations embossed on them.
Feedback on the programme described it as an exercise in creativity, teamwork and an opportunity to reveal the child in every adult.
