INDUCTION PROGRAMME FOR NEW STUDENTS AND PARENTS
The Millennium School organized a special induction programme for new students of Grades 5 to 10 and their parents on 30th March 2009. This practice builds an effective partnership with parents in the education of children. The principal, Mr. Michael Guzder welcomed the gathering and introduced the senior management team to them. He spoke to them about school ethics, the vision and the mission of the school and the facilities offered. He said that a short induction was necessary as it served in the best interests of the students. It helped them learn more about school, its expectations and how to handle difficult situations that they might face during their transition. He requested parents to identify and resolve any issues quietly and amicably as early intervention helped prevent many problems. He also said that students should be happy to come to school and this is best achieved by working closely with parents in a true partnership.

After the Principal’s address, new pupils and their parents met their respective class teachers. They also took a tour of the school campus. The parents appreciated the efforts made by the school in conducting such programmes. We at the Millennium believe that good communication between home and school will help us to provide the best care for students.
