The Best Buddies Club

The Best Buddies Club began in 2007. We are a socially inclusive school and the inclusion program has helped us enable the ability. The Best Buddies programme is something that everyone in the school is passionate about. It has always been an OUTSTANDING feature of the school through the years.

Inclusion Programme

Every Wednesday on an average 35 pupils and 15 teachers from The Manzil School for Challenged Individuals spend the entire day at The Millennium School. Various activities such as cooking, art, music, dance, swimming, basketball are planned and woven into the curriculum. This gives every students an opportunity to experience mainstream school-life. This program started in the academic year 2007 - 2008 to enhance the development of social skills.

Peer Buddy Programme

The purpose of Best Buddies is to foster natural friendships between two people. A Peer Buddy, commits to be a true friend. The main focus of the program is to pair mainstream students with students from special need institutes. Buddy pairs are paired for an academic year keeping in mind the age group, languages spoken and social needs. The families of the Buddies meet at least once a month at a place of their choice. The first meeting is preferably held at the home of the special needs student to make them feel comfortable and secure. This year we have students volunteering to be buddies.
